TREE FOUNDATION - The Turtle SAKI

On 20th April 2022, 11 students of middle school were taken to Neelangarai beach with the teacher Co ordinator Mrs. Gitanjali Elangovan to witness the release of rehabilitated turtle 'Saki' back to ocean by the Tree foundation. The children said a good luck and gave positive energy to the turtle "Saki" and sent it back to its natural habitat. 'Saki' - A juvenile Olive Ridley sea Turtle was found entangled in a ghost net, rescued by Mr. Sakaravarti, a member of TREE foundation sea Turtle protection Force and co- fisherman. Saki was intensively cared and certified by the veterinarians to be released back to ocean, it's natural habitat. Children understood the importance of protecting our environment and took a pledge not to pollute the land and the ocean.
